If you didn’t know, we cover a lot of mobile gacha games here at iFanzine, and what a year it has been! With so many releases, it’s only fair to go through what our Best Gacha Games of the Year are and why we loved them so much. HAIKYU!! FLY HIGH

If you know me, you’ll know that I love the Haikyu anime (and if you don’t know me, at least you get a fun fact!). I’m trying not to let my bias towards the franchise shine through, but this game is amazing! The detail and effort put into it are incredible. With great music and smooth animations, that was enough to sell me.
When it comes to gameplay, there is something to do for everyone. Enter the court and be strategic when placing your characters, then battle it out! When you’re bored with volleyball, you can head to the training ground to practice your skills. Or, visit the vegetable garden to grow crops. Each character has its own position and skills, and placing specific characters together will give them unique power combinations. It’s fun, exciting to play, and always something to do.
Trickcal Chibi Go

Chibis save me!! Trickcal Chibi Go, as the name implies, features chibi characters you take into battle. But it feels fun, light-hearted, and refreshing. It’s a light-hearted story and a feel-good vibe. It also has elements of cosy gameplay where you can decorate with furniture, figurines, and other items to make it personalised.
All of the chibis have wonderful designs and fit into different personality categories. Every personality has its own skills or boosts, allowing you to plan and be strategic in battle. As someone who prefers cosy and less serious games, Trickal Chibi Go has everything I like, and more!
Umamusume: Pretty Derby

Rather than chibis, what about horse girls? Jokes aside, this name may sound familiar to you. It’s an anime, but the game also blew up in popularity. Umamusume features anime girls who run and race. Train them, improve their skills, and unleash them to beat new records and sprint.
I will admit, I was slightly bewildered at first, especially as I hadn’t seen the show. But with so many people talking about this game, FOMO got the best of me, and I admit, I got hooked! It’s unlike any other gacha game out there. Raise your Umamusume to her best ability and win as many races as you can!
