Stunningly lush visuals, imaginative gameplay, and perfectly precise controls set Alper Sarıkaya’s Manuganu apart from the rest of the endless runner pack when it hit iOS (and Android, Windows Phone, etc) last year. And now the Turkish indie developer is back and hoping to build on the success of that game with its just-announced sequel, Manuganu 2.

Manuganu 2 will see our titular hero embarking on a quest to save his best friend from some as-yet unrevealed predicament or danger. According to the press release we received, this daring rescue mission spans 40 unique levels and 4 epic boss battles. That all sounds pretty intense, so it’s a good job this game will also add a bunch of new skills to lil’ Manuganu’s repertoire, such as the ability to fly and swim. Other noteworthy features include an original soundtrack, Game Center integration, and iOS 7 controller support.

Alper Sarıkaya has set a release date of June 26, 2014 for Manuganu 2. Like its predecessor, the game will set you back $0.99. To keep up with all the latest Manuganu news, be sure to drop by AlperSarıkaya.com
