Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition Currently Dirt Cheap on the App Store

If you’re after some old school western RPG action, but you’ve just looked at your bank account and you’ve only got a couple of bucks to spare, you’re in luck, because Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition is currently dirt cheap on the App Store.

The game, which is a re-tweaking of Bioware’s legendary D&D RPG from the very early noughties. This Enhanced Edition doesn’t just include the original 60 hour story Shadows of Amn, you’ll also get the Throne of Bhaal, Fist of the Fallen and The Black Pits II: Gladiators of Thay expansions.

Basically, you’re getting an awful lot of game for almost no money whatsoever. If you’ve already got a character from Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition you can move them over, or start an entirely new adventure. The choice, is yours.

The game has been optimized for play on tablets – there’s quite a lot of fiddly menus – and it isn’t recommended for any phone with a screen size of less than seven inches.

That’s a bit of a downer, for sure, but if you’ve got an iPad or a massive phone, you can grab Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition from the App Store by clicking here. Normally it costs $9.99, but right now you can pick it up for $1.99.
