BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! a.k.a., Bandori, is a mobile rhythm RPG published by Bushiroad and developed by Craft Egg. It kicked off in Japan in March 2017 and hit the global stage in April 2018. The latest scoop from the developers of the title is that they are stepping away from it. Keep reading to know more!
Quitting The Band?
Craft Egg is bowing out of BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Yep, the studio will no longer be developing content for the rhythm game while Bushiroad will take over the entire operations. The official changes take effect from January 4th, 2024. If you play the title, there’s no need to worry though, as your account data isn’t going anywhere!
Craft Egg is a Japanese game development company that’s also behind Project Sekai Colorful Stage, another mobile rhythm RPG. It features popular Japanese virtual artist Hatsune Miku and was launched in 2020.
On the flip side, Bushiroad also deals exclusively with musical titles such as D4DJ Groovy Mix. Now, with Craft Egg stepping off the game development scene, the big question is whether Bushiroad will team up with new folks or have an in-house team to keep the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! content coming. We’ll probably know soon.
