Beyond Ynth, FDG Entertainment's newly released puzzle platformer was in development for over a year, and it shows - from the game's innovative and finely tuned central mechanic, to its hand-drawn, storybook style cutscenes and original score, this screams class at the top of its titchy lungs.

Don't go into this collaboration from Dicework and Crescent Moon expecting an intense story, but they've hit the ball out of the park in every other way that matters to RPG fans. Whether you're more into the Western RPG's quest-based adventuring, the JRPG's structured turn-based battle systems, or getting your noggin tested in tough contests of strategy, Rimelands has you covered.

When her fiancée goes AWOL two days before their nuptials,Vera, Mushroom Age's plucky protagonist, wastes no time moping and instead arms herself with a magical cell phone capable of time travel. Which, as it transpires, isn't as mental as it sounds, because groom-to-be Tom has inadvertently managed to become hopelessly lost somewhere between the dawn of time and the year 3008 (must have been one hell of a stag-night, eh?).

Xenome: Episode I Review

The best way to describe Nine Pound Studios' first release might be "a MMORPG without the MMO." Its core mechanics should feel familiar to veterans of games in the World of Warcraft vein, but if you're not into the style of combat around which Xenome revolves, it'll probably feel like a long crawl despite its most interesting sci-fi world.

Zombie Flick Review

From the off, Full Fat's latest title addresses a niggling little improbability that has long irked me about most every game set amid a zombie apocalypse - namely, the heroic survivor's easy access to a stockpile of knives, guns, and grenades. Far more realistically, when a horde of flesh-eaters accost Zombie Flick's main protagonist - think a Saturday Night Fever era John Travolta - he must fend them off with anything he can lay his mitts on.

Stripped down, visually unappealing puzzle games are fast becoming Laddha Inc's calling card. And lack of eye-candy aside, if you enjoyed flexing your gray cells through the likes of PenTacToe and BrainTaire, chances are you'll also find a lot to like about their latest family friendly noodle baker, MemoryBoost.

Somehow developer Prodigy Co. manage to take a premise that sounds like a huge amount of fun on paper - ginormous remote controlled robots kicking each other's shiny metal asses amid the crumbling ruins of a decimated city - and make an incredibly dull little game out of it.

Playus Soft's Creatures - The First Blood does exactly what it says on the tin. No more, and no less. A space set dual-stick shooter packed with thrills but minus the frills, this is 100% focused on delivering an intense hit of last-as-long-as-you-can action and Openfeint fuelled high-score hunting.

Cargocopter Review

I remember the days where I used to play with my beloved RC Helicopter. I was never the ideal pilot, for my plane always ended up flying into a wall or ceiling fan; breaking into a million pieces. This was a very traumatizing time for me. After extensive therapy, I decided to give Terrence Palmer's CargoCopter a go, donning the utmost levity while at it. Now, aside from shipping crates, does this little plane have what it takes to deliver a solid gaming experience?
