Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend Announced for iPhone and iPad

Square Enix has revealed that it’s launching a bundle of three of the very first portable RPGs. Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend will include accurate ports of the Gameboy games Final Fantasy Legend I-III, and it’s set to launch on the App Store next month.

The games, which are confusingly named, were actually the first SaGa games, so this is a deep walk down memory lane. The mobile versions feature movable controls, portrait and landscape play orientations, and the ability to experience the adventures in Japanese or English.

Alongside that there are speed-up options that let you whizz through the gameplay and dialogue without ruining the music, which is pretty cool. Here’s a trailer.

The game is based on the Switch version of the games that was launched at the end of last year. It’s scheduled to land on the App Store on September 22nd, so you don’t have too long to wait either.

Pre-orders are already live for the game, and you can get your registration in early by clicking here. The game will set you back $19.99, which might sound like a lot, but you’re getting three classic games for that price, so it isn’t too shabby.
