‘Crashlands’ Is Getting a Huge Update Tomorrow

Okay, it may only be April, but I feel pretty confident in predicting that Butterscotch Shenanigans’ Crashlands will wind up snagging a spot on iFanzine’s end of year round-up of the best games of 2016. Why am I so sure? Well, because Clovis L. Dye, Jr. — the writer who generally handles our best-of lists — absolutely adores it. I mean, you only have to check out his glowing 5 star review or his delightfully geeky follow-up interview with the developers, to get a sense of just how much Clovis loves Crashlands.

With that in mind, the news that there’s a big Crashlands update scheduled for release tomorrow should have him (and the legions of other fans of the game out there) pretty excited. While it’s not the Crashlands Creator patch that Butterscotch Shenanigans promised was on the way in our interview, this “Quality of Life” update does still come packing a ton of interesting new stuff, including an updated world map, colorblind modes, and numerous other tweaks and improvements. I could list them all here, but you’d be better off just watching the new trailer — its hilarious voice-over does a better job of bigging up the incoming features than I ever could.

Hit the play icon above to check it out. And if you’re still hungry for more info, this blog post on Butterscotch Shenanigans’ official site goes into loads more detail about the patch.
