Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef Drops On Mobiles On The Same Day As The Mini-Series

Maliyo Games is teaming up with Disney for a mobile tie-in game called Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef. It’s hitting iOS and Android devices at the end of the month. If you like cooking games and are a fan of Disney animations, then this one’s definitely for you!

What’s Iwájú?

Disney Iwájú is an upcoming animated miniseries that premieres on Disney+ on February 28th, the same day as the game Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef. The story is set in a futuristic Lagos, Nigeria and centres around Tola, a young girl and her best friend Kole, a self-taught tech whiz. Together, they explore and dig into all sorts of stuff hidden in the islands.  

Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef lets you celebrate the Nigerian culture with a side of high-tech vibes from a super-futuristic Lagos. Maliyo Games, Disney Games, and the folks at Kugali have joined hands to craft this adorable game. They also released a trailer that gives us a sneak peek into the gameplay. In Disney Iwájú: Rising Chef, you’ll run into characters from the series and cook up amazing Nigerian food. You’ll even collect special moments from the show as you play. Don the role of an ambitious chef building up a small eatery and aiming for the top of Nigeria’s food scene.

Characters like Tola and Kole will be guiding you as you get to know Nigerian culture through all the delicious dishes you’ll make.
