It’s the end of another FF title! Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is calling it quits on February 29, 2024. The game was globally released in 2018. Closing the doors on Opera Omnia follows the shutdown of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier in January this year.
What Else Do We Know?
Square Enix dropped the news on X earlier today. Before saying the final goodbye, the game will continue with event content updates and release the final chapter as well. They also rolled out an event calendar to keep everyone in the game until it officially shuts down. Going by the calendar, Daily Draws and Title Draws will continue till the last day, and so will the Cactuar Cacophony and Dare to Defy Astraeus events.
However, not all ongoing or scheduled events will be the last ones standing. Dusk to Dawn (Evil Gazes at Dusk) will end on January 1. There are a few new events lined up as well for the remaining days. Events like the 6th Anniversary Special Draw and Dare to Defy EOS will begin in January and end on February 29.
Most of the premium in-app purchases have already been yanked off from the shelves. If you haven’t played the game yet, then this is your last chance! Go ahead and try it out from the App Store.
