Final Fantasy Crossover: FF7EC x FFIX Collaborating On iOS!

Can you imagine two of your favourite worlds merging together? No, you need not imagine it when it’s going to be a reality soon! A Final Fantasy Crossover is starting from this week. That’s awesome, right?

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is collaborating with Final Fantasy IX from November 9th on iOS and Android. The FF7EC team on X tweeted as follows: “Starting from Nov. 9, we will be hosting a Crossover Event with FINAL FANTASY IX! In this event, Black Waltz will appear as the boss!” Black Waltz is the special, winged black mage manufactured by Zorn and Thorn with the goal of capturing Princess Garnet. Final Fantasy is a science fantasy anthology media franchise that was first released in Japan in 1987. It was then released in the US in 1990.

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis stems from the original Final Fantasy VII and focuses on the young hero Sephiroth. It’s free to play and offers in-app purchases such as loot boxes with weapons and costumes. It currently ranks at #109 in Adventure in the App Store. Final Fantasy IX ranks at #40 in Role Playing in the App Store. It has a lot of exciting features, including equipment synthesis, minigames, game boosters, and the option to auto-save your progress.

What Else Do We Know About The Final Fantasy Crossover?

Here is a little bit more scoop on the epic crossover:

  • Square Enix, the developers of the games, have also announced a special discount on Final Fantasy IX for a limited time on iOS and Android.
  • The developers haven’t disclosed the end date of the crossover yet.
  • During the crossover, FF7EC characters will be sporting new outfits inspired by playable characters from Final Fantasy IX. Cloud’s outfit will be based on Zidane’s outfit while Tifa’s outfit is based on Amarant Coral’s.

Square Enix and Applibot are also running a Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis Halloween costume and weapon draw event for Cloud, Sephiroth, Zack and Glenn till November 9, 2023.
