Although not the best mutation in Fisch, it does give your creatures a new look!
What Does The Mutation Do?
If you catch something that has the Studded mutation, it will be covered in studs. Making it look like Lego! It will also increase the fish’s value by x2 of their normal price. It’s not the best money-making mutation available, but it’s a nice way to get some extra cash from selling them.
How To Get The Mutation
Unlike other mutations where you have a small chance to naturally catch something that has it, or get a mutation by appraisal, the only way to get the Studded Mutation is by using the Brick Rod. You have a 100% chance to catch something with the Studded Mutation when you use the Brick Rod.
You can only get this rod during the in-game season of summer, and obtaining it is a lengthy process! I’ll give you a quick rundown below.
- Collect the three Bricks. There is one at the top of Roslit Volcano, one in the cave on the Ancient Isle, and one behind the Angler in The Depths.
- Change your spawn location to Desolate Deep.
- Purchase a Smokescreen and Sundial Totem.
- Send the codes found on the wall of the Tridents Temple into the chat.
- Equip the correct title (at the correct hour) and speak to Minish at the Harvesters Spike during a foggy night in summer. You can use the totems to do this!
- Minish will only spawn if you have done the previous steps correctly.
- The game will teleport you to a room where you can buy the Brick Rod for 13,337C$.
