Great news! You can now pre-install the new update for Genshin Impact, Version 4.2, on iOS, Android, PC, PS4, and PS5 ahead of its full global launch on November 8th. Titled ‘Masquerade of the Guilty’, Genshin Impact 4.2 will have two new underwater regions in Fontaine with more playable characters.

Regions
Fontaine will now expand eastward with new areas for you to explore. The expanded regions will also feature new challenges and quests. So, expect exciting storylines such as meeting the Weeping Willow of the Lake, undertaking the World Quest to unlock the Errinyes Forest, or walking through the Foggy Forest to discover deep secrets.
Characters
Ever heard of an update without any new characters? Rarely, right? Genshin Impact 4.2 will have two new playable characters called Furina and Charlotte. Furina is a 5-star Hydro Archon and will play the role of a sub-DPS as well as a support. Charlotte is a 4-star Cryo catalyst and will act as a support. Apart from them, Baizhu, a Dendro Catalyst already introduced in the Version 3.0 update, will return to the game as a playable character.
Weapons, Bosses and Enemies
The update will introduce new 5-star signature weapons for Furina and Baizhu such as ‘The Splendor of Tranquil Waters’ and ‘Jadefall’s Splendor’. The game will also feature new weekly enemies and bosses like the Hydro Tulpa.
