Space Grunts 2 from Orange Pixel is one of those tactical games that’s hard to pin down. It might look like your standard deep-space-turn-based roguelike, but it chucks in card-collecting mechanics and loads more to boot. And right now you can pick it up for pretty darn cheap.
Every time you play the game it’s going to be different. Levels are generated from basic building blocks, but you’re not going to encounter the same situation twice.
It’s not just the level layouts that change – random events, different routes and the effects of the local flora are all in flux too. To combat these hazards you need to build a deck of cards, which represents your gear, weapons and special items.
