Harry Potter: Magic Awakened Launching in the West Later This Year

If you’re on the lookout for some magical adventuring set in the Wizarding World, then we’ve got some good news for you. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, which has been the top-grossing game in mainland China since it came out, is launching in the Americas, Oceania and Europe later in the year.

The game mixes together TCG and MMO mechanics. You’re playing as a new student at Hogwarts, exploring famous locations, meeting familiar characters and getting wrapped up in a story of intrigue, mystery and magical wands.

You’ll have to choose a house, dress up your young wizard and collect cards in the form of spells to throw out against your foes. It’s got a pretty slick art-style as well. Shall we watch a CGI teaser trailer? Yes. Yes we shall.

You’re going to be brewing potions, fighting against other players, exploring Hogwarts and just generally having a lovely old time. At least that’s the hope. It might all end up miserable and grinding, like real life.
