How To Level Up Heroes In Dragon Traveler
When leveling up characters, you need to head to the ‘Star Upgrade’ section. From there, select the hero you want to upgrade, and you will see the requirements. They will change depending on how many times you have already upgraded them.
Usually, you will need one replica of the character you plan to upgrade, as well as another hero that is the same rarity or type. In short, you’re sacrificing units to make another unit stronger.
As you need a duplicate, this makes leveling up high-rarity characters, such as SSR, harder. They’re hard enough to obtain, and now you need a double! Which begs the question… do you have to level them up?
Do I Need To Level Up Units?
If you want to progress and reach the later stages of gameplay, then yes. As a beginner, when you’ll likely only have lower-rarity units, you should be leveling them up as soon as you can. Once you start to obtain SR and SRR characters, you can wait longer to upgrade them, as they’re already powerful units.
However, there will come a point where high-rarity heroes can’t defeat your opponent, which is when you need to level up ASAP! As you level characters up, they will unlock skills and gain more strength. If you want to progress and defeat those tough enemies, then yes, you need to level them up.
