Yes, you read that right. Construction Simulator® 4 now has a free ‘Lite’ version that provides a taste of the experience with none of the financial commitment. Simply download it, play until you’ve decided you’re interested, and then grab the entire experience for a mere $5.
The latest entry in the long-running building simulation series takes it to the next level. It features a new Canadian-themed location, Pinewood Bay, 30 new fully-licensed vehicles, a cooperative multiplayer mode, and a frequently-requested concrete pump.
Aside from that, it’s the experience you know and love, but better. The map’s much larger, for a start, housing a heck of a lot more missions to beat than before.
You probably have a good idea if you want to play Construction Simulator® 4 by now, but those who are unsure can check out the Lite version for free by grabbing it on Google Play or the App Store right now.
Once you’ve downloaded it, check out our list of tips and tricks to help get you started below.
Manage Your Finances

This really is the crux of the experience. While driving vehicles and taking on building projects is the bread and butter, you’re only going to progress if you make enough cash to spend on materials, vehicles, and even jobs themselves.
That’s right: many jobs require you to spend money upfront on everything you need to beat them, so you should balance your jobs list appropriately. Ensure that you take on easy, generic jobs that keep your coffers full in between the bigger campaign missions.
If you’re desperate, you can stave off bankruptcy by getting a loan from the bank, but you’ll have to pay these back with interest, so it’s not the most cost-effective method of managing your dwindling cash pool.
Rent or Buy

When you need a new vehicle, you have two options to obtain them: you can rent or buy. Buying grants you the vehicle forever, so you don’t have to purchase it again. Vehicles do pick up wear over time though, so there is a downside to owning a vehicle. Well, unless you place them in your virtual vehicle hall.
Another option is to rent a machine. This doesn’t cost quite as much, as the price is determined by how long you need it for, but you also can’t sell the machine later if you need to make cash. It’s also kind of wasted money, as you only get the machine for the duration you rent it.
Still, deciding to rent or buy is a decent method of managing your finances and carry on completing missions to progress.
Complete Achievements

Achievements aren’t just for show in Construction Simulator® 4: they actually help you progress. By completing one, you earn experience, money, and permanent perks. These vary in terms of challenge, and some are as simple as finding a medal hidden in the game world.
You can see a list of these in your company menu, so take a glance and ensure that you complete these wherever possible, as they’re a solid method of progressing throughout the game.
Try these tips out for yourself by playing Construction Simulator® 4 Lite right now on the App Store or Google Play.
