How to Train Characters in Uma Musume Pretty Derby
Before knowing how to train, it’s worth noting that each Uma card has stats, such as how fast they run and the amount of stamina they have. This will make a huge difference in the races they can participate in and win. Each race has requirements, and if your card fits those requirements, they have a higher chance of winning.
Types of Races and Requirements
Below is every type of race available and the recommended requirements for each stat. If your Uma doesn’t have similar numerical values, they are more likely to lose.
- Medium Races
- Stamina: 450+
- Speed: 800+
- Power: 550+
- Wit: ~300
- Long Races
- Stamina: 600+
- Speed: 700+
- Power: 450+
- Wit: ~300
- Sprint+Mile Races
- Stamina: ~250-350
- Speed: 900+
- Power: 600+
- Wit: ~300
Training Character Units
So, how do you train characters? The best way is to level up, but more specifically, leveling up Support Cards. These are the backbone of your team, and as they are leveled up, their stats will increase, allowing them to race in better races and come out victorious.
Speaking of types of cards, you’ll want to prioritise Stamina Recovery Cards if you’re planning to participate in mid and long races. As they’re a longer distance, you’ll need good stamina recovery.
It goes without saying that you should check the sort of race before you enter, as sometimes you may get a character to race, but they don’t have the right stats. Knowing the kind of race you’ll enter can help you plan and focus on leveling up the best cards.
