As someone who loves Hunter x Hunter, I couldn’t be more excited to put together this Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor Tier List that ranks each character from strongest to weakest. Don’t worry, I’m not biased… especially considering my favourite character isn’t even in the game yet!

- S-Tier: Hisoka, Kurapika, Netero
- A-Tier: Killua, Machi, Bisky
- B-Tier: Gon
- C-Tier: Leorio
- D-Tier: No one is here yet!

What Does Each Tier Mean?
S- The best characters available. On their own, they are already meta, but if you want to make them unstoppable, make sure you upgrade them ASAP. These are worthy additions to any team and will help you defeat all the enemies around you.
A- A great runner-up. Whether you haven’t obtained those above yet, or you’re hesitant about committing, these are the perfect backup choices. Even once you do obtain those ranked above, these are still great to keep on your team.
B- Nestled into the average are the B-Tier units. However, I suggest upgrading these as soon as you can, as they’re slightly weak without being leveled up.
C- Characters in this tier are niche and don’t offer much. They come with a few useful skills, but don’t rely on them to help you progress.
D- Sadly, these aren’t worth it. Having them is better than nothing, but only use these if you have no other option.
Frequently Asked Questions
You get a few characters automatically when you first play the game. But to get more, you can summon them from the banner. However, the gacha mechanic doesn’t unlock until you complete the first few chapters.
That’s completely okay, as everyone has different gameplay preferences. You can use this tier list as a guideline to help you decide roughly who to obtain and who to have on your team.
Make sure you upgrade and level up your characters when you can to give them more power. Rarer units tend to be better, so aim to get those.
I don’t know for sure, but hopefully! There are tons of characters in the world of Hunter x Hunter, so it gives developers a chance to fully expand the game in later updates or events.
As a beginner, I recommend pulling from the standard banner until you get someone who is meta.
