OMG, iOS Games Gone Free: Death Call, Jelly Wars, Push Cars: Everyday Jam and More!

Time for the last installment of ‘OMG, iOS Games Gone Free’ of the week, and, boy, do we have a absolute doozy for you today! But first a super-quick public service announcement (of sorts) —

If you don’t already know, ‘OMG, iOS Games Gone Free’ is a brand spanking new daily news featurette in which team iFanzine tirelessly trawls the virtual aisles of the App Store to track down new and noteworthy free iOS games and then posts about them all here. Why? Well, because we’re nice like that. And, hey, you can never have too many freebies, am I right?

Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s see what’s on offer today, shall we?

Death Call By Betz Software (RRP: n/a): I’m kinda cheating with this first one — Death Call‘s more a ‘game launched free’ than a ‘game gone free.’ Anyhoo, it’s an utter blast regardless. You step into the boots of one Jedediah Wolfe – a Federal Marshall and self-styled Judge, Jury, and Executioner of the Wild West – as he does battle with a motley crew of villains with colorful monikers like  ‘The Juggernaut’ (pictured) and ‘The Tank.’ It’s a pretty excellent Western-themed, story-driven shooter that deserves recognition for its bonus ‘Online Multiplayer Mode’ and the wholly unobtrusive manner in which the developers have implemented IAPs. Go on, give it a shot!

Jelly Wars By Star Arcade Oy (RRP: $0.99): We described this terrific little TBS game as a “wibbly wobbly blend of Angry Birds and Worms” when we reviewed the game back in August of last year. If you fancy giving Android and Symbian gamers what for in fun turn-based battles of wits, Jelly Wars is well worth a download.

Exitium: Saviors of Vardonia By Minoraxis, Inc. (RRP: $1.99): Sean had this to say when he reviewed Exitium on its initial release: “If you’re a diehard KRPG fan looking for the best technical quality and breadth of content you can get for two bucks, Exitium is an absolutely safe bet.” A safe bet at two bucks, eh? By my estimation, that makes it a must-have for $0.00!

Push Cars: Everyday Jam HD By RaLight Solutions (RRP: $0.99): This quirky and charismatic logic-puzzler sees you taking control of a cast of Pixar-esque, anthropomorphic vehicles and trying to escape the escape the smoggy streets of Washington, Miami, Houston, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. A lot of fun — with an eco-friendly message to boot!
