Overrogue is a brand new game from Kemco that has more than a dash of Slay the Spire to it. It’s a deck-building roguelite that sees you entering labyrinths, building new decks as you go, and trying to fight your way to the finish.
There’s a story here about challengers trying to become the new Overlord, but once you’re into the experience your focus is on collecting new cards to try and take down the monsters and other threats that are lurking all around you.
It’s got a pretty cool pixel-art-esque aesthetic, and there are five different card-types to base your deck around. Here’s a trailer that shows off a little bit of what you can expect if you decide to take the plunge.
There are more than 300 different cards to build your deck from, as well as 150 different treasures that can boost your skills. It all looks like it manages to balance depth and accessibility, letting you put as much time into the experience as you’d like.
