    First Look: Vampires Until Dawn

    Ruan Shiels·July 29, 2010
BeCush have just unveiled an intriguing little teaser for their upcoming game Vampires Until Dawn. While the trailer gives precious little away about what we can expect gameplay wise from the title, it does give a taste of the cutesy art style and introduce us to the main protagonist, a vampire hunter out for revenge...

    Prisoner 84 Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 27, 2010
Survival horror is dead. Bludgeoned into non-existence by next-gen consoles capable of delivering more eye-ball scorchingly true to life explosions and in your face carnage than ever before, developers forsaking creepy camera angles and unseen terrors in favour of infinite ammo and photo-realistic monsters, and action cinema's increasing influence on video games in general.

    Drift Mania Championship Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 27, 2010
Drift Mania is a racing game where instead of speeding to the finish, you drift to it. The point of this game is simple: get as many points as possible and finish the track within the time limit. You gain points by drifting around corners, and earning points faster by having longer, and faster drifts.

    Project Sanctuary Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 24, 2010
Thus far Project Sanctuary has been inexplicably overlooked by the dual-stick shoot 'em up junkies who normally lap this this type of thing up. I say inexplicably because from the off Salient Holding's action packed App Store debut delivers the sort of feature rich, story driven, RPG riffing, multiplayer enabled experience it took fan-favorites such as Minigore umpteen updates and a pseudo spin-off (Guerrilla Bob) to achieve and Alive 4-ever a sequel to fine-tune.

Insanely Good Giveaway: Prisoner 84 Up For Grabs!

    Ruan Shiels·July 23, 2010
I've locked my bedroom door, turned out the lights, and am skulking my way through the dank, gore-stained corridors of the phenomenally frightening Prisoner 84 in preparation for a full review of the game. Can't wait for the official iFanzine verdict? Well, never fear because courtesy of the (surprisingly) lucid and friendly folks at Hidden Games we've got two copies of iPhone's hottest new fright-fest to give away!

    Portal Rush Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 22, 2010
Gamers hankering after some honest-to-goodness old school action, unfettered by fancy schmancy 3D visuals or ground-breaking gimmicks have been well served by Apple's iDevices of late. The latest addition to the App Store's ever-swelling ranks of retro flavored titles is After Dark Studios' arcade puzzler Portal Rush.

    Psychoban Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 20, 2010
We're all used to those cutesy little puzzle games where you move unidentifiable colorful objects into other unidentifiable colorful objects to save a princess, get back a piece of cake, save a precious animal, or even just for the hell of it. In Psychoban, Dedalord gives a big "screw you" to the traditional "cute" block pushing game, and instead you'll find a much more atmospheric experience with a LEGITIMATE motive. But, is this newfound theme enough to make the game a classic, or is it only a ruse for more of the same thing?

    Cat Run Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 19, 2010
Cats are most definitely enjoying their moment in the sun. Having cornered the meme market with the seemingly unstoppable Lolcats phenomenon and Keyboard Cat's posthumous rise to fame, they then went one better by exploding onto the music scene and adorning any number of recent album covers. Now it would appear our feline friends have turned their attention to iPhone gaming.

    Invaders World Tour Review

    Ruan Shiels·July 18, 2010
I'm lucky enough to receive quite a few new games on a daily basis (it's a tough job but some-one's gotta do it, right?). To be honest with you though, the vast majority I play, review, then quickly delete to free up space for the next batch. However, there are two types of games that for very two very different reasons grace my beloved 'Touch for considerably longer...
