Riot Games has Confirmed That Valorant is Coming to Mobile

After the success of League 0f Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games is set to release another of its IPs into the mobile sphere. Yup, that’s right, Valorant is coming to mobile. It’s going to be called Valorant Mobile and that’s pretty much all we know.

This is according to The Verge, but we don’t have any release date, platform or price details. If we were going to guess though, we’d say later this year, iOS and Android and free to play. After all, the home version of Valorant is free to play, as is Wild Rift. It’d be weird if it was a premium game – really weird.

Valorant is a 5v5 character-based tactical shooter, and it’s been doing pretty darn well since it came out about a year ago. The PC version has 14 million monthly players, so it really shouldn’t come as a surprise that Riot Games is looking at releasing it on mobile.

There are plans to release a Valorant series on Netflix as well. So expect to see a lot more about the franchise in the coming months. It’s following in the footsteps of the likes of Call of Duty with its mobile version, and we’ve got Apex Legends Mobile to look forward to as well.

Are you excited to play Valorant on mobile? Think it’s a good idea? A bad idea? Couldn’t care either way? Let us know in the comments section below. We will, of course, keep you updated as and when we hear more about the game.
