We love cats. We love puns. And we really love explosions. If you’re the same, then Rocat Jumpurr is going to be right up your street. It’s a game that features all three, and a whole bunch more too.
You play as an adorable space cat. Your only means of moving is firing your rocket launcher. Fire it one way and you’ll shoot off in the opposite direction. It’s a smart system that’s got shades of Angry Birds and plenty of other App Store classics to it.
Your weapon isn’t just for moving, you need to use it to destroy enemies as well. There are plenty of monsters and bad guys to blow up, and they’re going to be trying their hardest to kill you too.
Cat-astrophic Explosions
You’ve also got fish to collect. Because, y’know, cats love fish. Shops scattered around the levels let you power-up and heal as well. Those are where you’ll be spending your hard earned fishes.
Rocat Jumpurr is more than just a punny title and a cute lead character. There’s action here, but you need to play smart as well. The game balances its ideas really well, managing to be tough and engaging in all of the right ways.
