Solo Levelling is a game about running down a track that’s filled with spikes, hulking monsters and portals. You’re controlling a warrior, darting left and right to try and score as many points as you can. Do well enough and you’ll be able to take down a boss and get a whole bunch of gems.
It’s a simple game, but there are some things you’re going to have to know if you want to get the most out of the experience. And that’s where this guide comes in. We’ve played a good chunk of Solo Levelling and discovered what we think are the strategies that are going to take your skills to the next level.
Wherever you are in your Solo Levelling journey – just about to jump into your first run or already the conqueror of several boss beasts – there’s going to be something here to help you out. So let’s do this – here are the best hints, tips and cheats for Solo Levelling.
Focus on your level
When you’re upgrading your skills, you should focus on your starting level, rather than spending your gems on upping your offline earnings. The higher your level at the start of the run, the more likely you are to reach the end and smack the boss in the face. And you’ll get a whole bunch of currency for doing that. Neat.
Big enemies, big boosts
The bigger enemies can give you a huge boost to your score, which, in turn, will let you take down even more impressive brawlers. Try and take down as many of the big red beasties as you can, and you’ll see your level shooting up. Make sure you’re strong enough to take them down, though – if the number above their head is in red, then you’re going to be the one taking damage.
When you’ve got a choice between picking up gems and fighting enemies, you should always choose the fight. Gems are good, but you’re going to get more for smashing up the boss than just picking up a few while you’re running down the level. Always go for the violence, get your score up and get more gems in the long run.
Go through the portals
The portals offer massive rewards depending what level you’re at. You can tell what’s going to be inside them by the color they are – purple have gems, red have extra enemies. They’re a great way to earn more, and whenever they pop up make sure you’re sliding inside one of them.
Watch for boosts
The sword boosts that you pick up will give you a super strong slash that’ll destroy anything you come across. It doesn’t matter what level you’re at – you can hack down way more powerful enemies if you’ve got a sword boost. If you see one, do everything you can to pick it up. The rewards are well worth it.
