So, you think all those lava levels in the original Super Mario Bros. made you man or woman enough to handle the very flames of Hell? Connor Ullmann's devilishly designed and deviously morbid creation will make you think again. This is one retro platformer not meant for the faint of heart!
Okay, okay -- its whole title is actually "Hamlet or the Last Game Without MMORPG Features, Shaders and Product Placement." Phew. This logic puzzler from Alawar Entertainment first splashed into the PC gaming scene last year, and now you can grab it for a buck on your iPhone or iPod Touch! While it has scant replay value and demands a strong appreciation of the genre, it's so irreverently zany and well executed on the iOS that logic puzzle fans would do well to pick this one up if they haven't played it before.
Now, here's something refreshing: an App Store entry that makes absolutely no pretenses. Right off the bat Nexus Game Studios lets you know that Gravonaut is very retro -- and very, very challenging. If you think you're prepared for this level of difficulty just because your gaming days started when cutting edge releases used to look like Gravonaut...think again!
