Holy moly, yet another Real Time Strategy game on iOS!? Hey, as long as they're as absorbing and excellently polished as this dragon-filled title from three-man trio Adam Reilly and Hugo & Filipe Beyer, I'm not complaining!
That's one small step for a mobile RPG, one giant leap for sidescrolling action games on iOS! The great thing about a videogame straddling genres is that it can still stand out from the crowd as long as it does one of the things it's billed as exceptionally well, and this is certainly the case with CJ E&M and Mobicle's latest Action RPG offering. It doesn't cure cancer and it may not even be a flawless game, but Mission Europa is hands-down the meatiest iDevice title we've played in either the Action RPG or First Person Shooter genres. Complete with over 50 missions, several side quests, and even a multiplayer arena, this one will keep you up at nights for weeks to come -- and not just because of the uber creepy story! See how you can score iFanzine's in-game loot at the end of the review!
Okay, okay -- its whole title is actually "Hamlet or the Last Game Without MMORPG Features, Shaders and Product Placement." Phew. This logic puzzler from Alawar Entertainment first splashed into the PC gaming scene last year, and now you can grab it for a buck on your iPhone or iPod Touch! While it has scant replay value and demands a strong appreciation of the genre, it's so irreverently zany and well executed on the iOS that logic puzzle fans would do well to pick this one up if they haven't played it before.
Time to party like it's 1993! This golden oldie has suffered a bit from the porting process in terms of user interface, but that's nothing iOS Action RPG fans haven't taken in stride already. Otherwise it's well worth checking into for its much-beloved party system and all-around excellent game design.

Some gamers will find its early challenge frustrating, but many more will appreciate its narrative scope and overall solidly executed - if strictly traditional - JRPG game mechanics.
Seed 2's interface could stand some improvement and it's chock full of the ubiquitous fetch quests that are quickly wearing out their welcome in iPhone RPGs, but if you can get past its flaws you'll find a very deep and fulfilling action RPG thanks to an engaging character development system and excellent overall polish.
The best way to describe Nine Pound Studios' first release might be "a MMORPG without the MMO." Its core mechanics should feel familiar to veterans of games in the World of Warcraft vein, but if you're not into the style of combat around which Xenome revolves, it'll probably feel like a long crawl despite its most interesting sci-fi world.
I remember the days where I used to play with my beloved RC Helicopter. I was never the ideal pilot, for my plane always ended up flying into a wall or ceiling fan; breaking into a million pieces. This was a very traumatizing time for me. After extensive therapy, I decided to give Terrence Palmer's CargoCopter a go, donning the utmost levity while at it. Now, aside from shipping crates, does this little plane have what it takes to deliver a solid gaming experience?
Perhaps more so than any other type of game, First-Person Shooters stick rigidly to tried and tested conventions and formulaic plots, most usually boiling down to dashing around a dystopian future blasting monsters with a gun the size of a house. Refreshingly, Twindigo's Puppet War FPS does things a little differently...
