Building a Team
As a beginner, you’ll likely only have low-rarity characters. This doesn’t matter much at first, as you can upgrade them a few times to help complete the first few story chapters. Eventually, you’ll have enough to perform more summons and hopefully, get better characters.
I already have a Best Team In Titan Regiment guide that goes through the best teams for early, mid, and late game. However, with any team, it’s important to keep upgrading them and ascending them if you have the required materials. As you work your way through stages, battles get tougher, and you won’t get far if you don’t level up units.
Ascending
Ascension is crucial to make a meta unit, but it comes at a cost. When you first ascend a character, you need another copy of them, as well as another character (or sometimes multiple characters) from the same Faction. So, you will lose units, but you’ll gain a much stronger character in return. Ascending units will increase their star rarity and make them stronger, buffing their stats and abilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Work on upgrading your team and obtaining higher-rarity units. If you can, ascend characters to make them stronger.
If you want a specific character, you can use Soldier Shards. Obtain x1 Soldier Shard of the soldier you want, which you can purchase from markets. Then, get your hands on regular Soldier Shards. Combine them to get the unit you want!
I’ve had this happen a lot! I usually close the game for a while, then return in a few hours and collect Idle Rewards, as you get tons of items. I also make sure to check I’ve redeemed all possible rewards from missions or tasks.
I wouldn’t say so. I haven’t purchased anything in-game using money, and I’ve managed to progress a ton and upgrade characters. If you want to speed up progression, you can purchase items to help. However, Titan Regiment is very generous with rewards, and they’re easy to obtain.
