Verse Piece Fishing Guide
Get your fishing rods ready! I’ll talk you through what you need to fish and how you can do so.
Buying Equipment
Any fisher needs a rod and hook, right? Your first step is heading to the starter island and buying a fishhook. You can do this by speaking to the Fishhook Seller NPC, who is standing behind a red stand.
There are two fishhooks you can buy:
- Fishhook
- 5,000$
- x25 Wood
- x50 Iron
- Golden Fishhook
- 100k$
- x50 Gold
- x100 Wood
- x250 Iron
- x100 Fish
- Fisherman Trait
You can also upgrade your fishhook by speaking to the Fishhook Upgrader NPC. He is also located on the Starter Island and is standing on some rocks fishing opposite the Fishhook Seller NPC.
Bait
To get your hands (or rods, rather) on some bait, head to Runes Isle. You can find the Bait Seller NPC who sells a variety of bait for you to attach to your rod.
Here is what each bait does:
- Limitbreak Bait
- Reduces fishing time by 15 seconds.
- Enhance Bait
- Reduces fishing time by 10 seconds.
- Golden Bait
- Reduces fishing time by 5 seconds.
Fisherman Trait
If you have the Fisherman Trait, you will get more drops when fishing. If you want to get the Golden Fishook, you’ll also need to get this trait. You can get a trait by heading to the Traits Reroll NPC on the Starter Island. The Fisherman Trait is of legendary rarity, with a 1.5% roll chance.
How To Fish
When you’re ready to start fishing, make your way to the Starter Island, where the Fishhook Seller NPC is. There are three green circles on the floor located near his stall. Stand inside and equip your fishhook, and you will start to fish! You can get a variety of rewards and drops, and having the Fisherman Trait will increase that.
