What Do Old Pets Do In Grow a Garden?
Currently, the oldest your pet can become is 80 years old. Don’t worry, nothing will happen to them after this. They’ll simply stay that age forever.
Why Do You Need Them?
There are a few reasons why you may want to age your pets. The first is because the older your pet is, the better their ability. However, you may need them if you want to trade.
Many players ask for aged pets when they trade. Although trading is only a one-way exchange, you can swap pets and crops with other players.
How To Get Aged Pets
Your pets need to get XP to age, and the amount of XP required for them to get older changes depending on their age. There are two main ways you can get aged pets.
Feeding
Feeding your pets is the main way for them to get older. Keep in mind that if you don’t feed them, they won’t grow anymore. To feed them, you can either click on the pet and select the feed option, or you can hold out a crop near them and hold down ‘F’ if they are in range.
It doesn’t matter which crops you give them, but a good rule of thumb is that the rarer the pet, the rarer the crop you need to feed. Feeding common crops to common pets will increase their health a lot, but feeding common crops to rare pets won’t do much.
Other Pets
Many pets have passive abilities that earn XP quickly. For example, the Brown Mouse earns 750 XP every 8 minutes. If you have these pets and feed them well, they will age in no time.
