Which Sect Should You Join in Where Winds Meet?

I’ll give two options that focus on the two main aspects of gameplay, damage and support. However, there are plenty of Sects available, and you should choose the one that includes what you like to get out of gameplay.

First Option

The best Sect goes to the Midnight Blade. It focuses on attacking and entering battles, especially against other players. Therefore, if you enjoy PvP, this Sect is the one for you. Slay opponents and come out victorious to earn points. However, the downside to this side Sect is that you will lose points if you show mercy.

Second Option

If that doesn’t sound like something you want, then you may prefer a support-like Sect. The Silver Needles is all about healing players. So, if you don’t want to run into battle and start attacking, you can let the others do the work for you while you focus on healing them. This class is great in multiplayer or playing with friends, as you earn points by healing a certain about of people.

What are Sects?

Sects are factions, and each one has its own point system. To earn points, you need to perform actions that match the sect’s values. However, you lose points by doing actions that a sect disapproves of.

  • What are the other Sects?
    • Aside from the two mentioned above, there is the Well of Heaven Sect. This requires you to play in co-op, as you need to help out other players. Then, there is the Nine Mortal Ways Sects, which is about stealth and trickery. 
  • What happens if I don’t like the Sects?
    • You don’t necessarily need to join a Sect. Each Sect also has its upsides and downsides, so if you want to join one, select the one that gives you the most benefits for how you like to play.
