If you know me, you know I love Attack on Titan, but I promise I’m not being biased. I have played tons of mobile games that take inspiration from other shows I love. But none of them quite hit the same as Titan Regiment. I’m here to go through all my reasons as to why Titan Regiment is the best mobile game, at least from what I’ve played.
You can start playing this game via the App Store. After I’ve convinced you to play it, I have a Titan Regiment Beginners Guide that is newbie-friendly and goes over the basics.
Why Titan Regiment Is The Best Mobile Game
My first point is that you don’t need to know anything about Attack on Titan to start playing. The game provides a storyline that you can follow that explains what is going on. However, if you are a fan, you’ll love how much detail goes into each game mode. Even the voice lines are perfect and capture each character’s personality perfectly. From events to currency to artwork, the developers know what the fans like.
Quick and Fast-Paced Battles
There are tons to do in Titan Regiment, and a variety of game modes to explore. You can play the main storyline, visit the Underground City in an RNG-luck-based board, go against other players, or join a Faction and team up.
At its core, Titan Regiment is an idle game. Select characters to add to your team and let them do the work for you while you watch. Once you reach a specific level, you can completely skip battles, but it’s never boring. Eventually, you’ll reach a point where you can’t win a battle and progress. So, you need to enter other game modes to earn currency and then purchase supplies to level your units up.
In certain game modes, you can’t skip the battle, but you can exit that mode while the battle plays out in the background. I love this feature, as I can enter a new mode or head to a different area while the battle continues, and I don’t need to worry about it.
At the end of a battle, you can see who was the damage MVP. As in, who dealt the most damage and is the strongest. If you lose a battle, the game suggests things you can do to help you win next time, such as ascending units or foraging gear.
The Entire Cast Appears… Almost
This point is more for fans of Attack on Titan who know the characters, but there is a vast roster to choose from. Even characters like Ilse appear, and she was only in a single OVA. Characters come with skills and abilities, and stats that you can upgrade by equipping weapons, gear, or leveling them up.
If you don’t know who the characters are, you can find out some general information about who they are and what they’re like, and it’s completely canon. My only issue is that they misgendered Hange in their description… which isn’t ideal.
You’ll spend a lot of time building your team, which is one of my favourite parts of gameplay. You need Gold and Operation Tutorials to upgrade them, and getting your hands on enough can become time-consuming, requiring you to play multiple battles and earn them as rewards.
Ascending characters makes their maximum level increase, but this is tough to do. Each character has certain requirements when ascending them. Such as obtaining multiple copies of the same units and using already ascended units to ascend a character. It’s something to aim for, and it requires you to be strategic when wishing for or summoning other units.
Play With Friends
Games are often more fun with friends, and in Titan Regiment, you can add your friends and send them friendship letters, giving you additional rewards. You can also speak to everyone on your server in a chatroom, as well as join Legions.
Legions are similar to guilds, and they unlock a new gamemode. Here, you can go against another Legion and see who comes out victorious. If you don’t want to join one, that’s also okay. You have the additional option to make your own from scratch.
Whether you’re a fan of Attack on Titan or simply want a new mobile game to play, you will never get bored in Titan Regiment. There are so many areas to explore, and there are even missions and achievements you can complete to give you something to aim for. Completing these gives you rewards, which are always handy.
This feature is completley AI free and all my own work! Thank you for reading.
