Arriving on Steam back in May to hundreds of positive user reviews, we feel the game has found its true home on mobile thanks to its simple yet satisfying gameplay loop.
It offers up a RPG style adventure based around some core Tamagotchi gameplay. As a Guardian Spirit of the realm you’re asked to raise an elf to help battle the Frog Lord.
You do this via raising them from an egg protecting them from dangerous climates and even more dangerous creatures. Maintaining their mood via their energy, health and hygiene levels is also essential to make sure they develop into an effective warrior.
You can also take care of yourself, via mini-games that improve your strength, dexterity and intelligence. Buffing your character further can be done by completing quests and attaining Gold – that can be used to purchase food, potions, and equipment.
Idle gameplay elements are also a part of the experience. You can give your character up to five different tasks to get on with while you’re not playing, and they’ll even let you know when and if you’re needed.
